Robert E. Sussman, DPM
Dr. Robert E. Sussman has been in private practice in Neptune, New Jersey since 1985. Dr. Sussman earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1984. He completed a Residence Program at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Division of Orthopedics. Prior to that, Dr. Sussman graduated from Rutgers College of Pharmacy and became a registered pharmacist.
Dr. Sussman is certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery. His specialties include orthopedics and biomechanics. Dr. Sussman was also an instructor at the Gait Analysis Laboratory at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine after graduation.
Dr. Sussman has received multiple awards during is career, including the Langer Award for Excellence in Biomechanics, and the Nurse’s Choice Physician of the Year Award at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he currently holds privileges. Dr. Sussman is the past Chairman of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in the Department of Orthopedics at Jersey Shore University Medical center in Neptune, NJ.
Joseph A. Sussman, DPM
Dr. Joseph Sussman is a podiatric specialist with more than 12 years of experience in treating foot and ankle conditions. He is happy to be working alongside his father, Dr. Robert Sussman, whose practice spans nearly 40 years.
Dr. Joseph Sussman excels in handling trauma and fractures of the foot and ankle and is Board Certified in foot surgery and rearfoot, as well as reconstructive and ankle surgery. Other areas of his expertise include sports medicine, diabetic foot care, flatfoot and cavus foot deformities.
He earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, DPM, from Temple University School of Medicine in 2011, after receiving a BS degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center in 2015, refining his skills across diverse aspects of podiatric medicine.
His leadership experience includes serving as the Chief of the Department of Podiatry at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, within the Hackensack Meridian Health Network. He also maintains a close association with Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey, ensuring that his patients benefit from cutting-edge facilities and comprehensive healthcare resources.
